William Rapson Papers 1848-1912

William Rapson, Jr.(1833-1912) was a Canadian-born blacksmith who served three years with the 50th New York Volunteer Engineers during the American Civil War before settling in Ohio. The collection consists of two Civil War diaries, correspondence, printed documents, transcripts of the diaries and correspondence, and a family history.
